Reiki was first introduced over 100 years ago by Dr. Mikao Usui, and is now a widely practiced Japanese technique for relaxation and stress reduction. The practitioner acts as a channel for the Reiki and transfers the energy through the hands, either in person or from a distance. There are many benefits that may occur after receiving Reiki including (but not limited to) deep relaxation, increased vitality, stress reduction, stronger immune response, better sleep, and a sense of overall well-being. As a certified practitioner, I offer Reiki services, both in-person and online, in an effort to share the experience with anyone who is feeling called to the practice.

Below you will find information for two offerings: Reiki+ and traditional Reiki. Select BOOK from the navigation pane to schedule your session!

– Reiki+ –

Reiki+ is a personalized wellness package that incorporates three of my most beloved practices: Reiki, meditation, and affirmations. I offer 40/60 minute sessions that are carefully crafted by getting to know you and creating an experience that is made specifically for you and your needs.

Appointments must be booked at least one week in advance in order for me to prepare for your experience. It’s important that you give me this time, as sessions are personalized and require more time than a typical Reiki session. We must complete a 1-1 consultation prior to your first appointment, so please be sure to keep communication open after booking. Any appointments booked without a timely 1-1 consultation may be rescheduled accordingly.

How does it work?

  1. After booking your first appointment, you will receive and complete an initial intake form (along with a waiver) so I can get to know a bit about you and your experience with the services you requested.
  2. I will schedule a consultation by phone to collect sensitive data and to discuss any details in preparation for your session.
  3. (Virtual Only) 24 hours before your session, you will receive a link to our private meeting.

During Your Session

We’ll begin by introducing the meditation and affirmation that we have chosen for you. For virtual sessions, you’ll then be invited to come into a space where you can lay comfortably for the duration of your session. Upon arrival to an in-person session, you will begin to get comfortable on the massage table (you do not remove any clothing).

I will begin reading your meditation, allowing you time to ground and center, with plenty of quiet space to breathe and relax. After the meditation ends, I will offer your Reiki, whether in-person or online. This will be a period of silence, as I will be working to channel the Reiki energy to you. Once I have completed the Reiki, I will gently begin to repeat your affirmation. You can either softly repeat the affirmation or say it within your mind.

After your session is over, we will have a few minutes to talk about your experience and answer any questions you may have.

– Traditional Reiki –

Unlike Reiki+, traditional Reiki appointments can be scheduled based on any availability on my calendar. This is an in-person offering, only. Traditional Reiki follows a similar 3 step process for appointment preparation. Please see, “How Does it Work?” above. Traditional Reiki is offered in 30 minute and 60 minute sessions.

During Your Session

Upon arrival, you will begin to get comfortable on the massage table (you do not remove any clothing). I will introduce a brief grounding exercise, then begin channeling the Reiki through hands-on or hands-off methods (your preference).

After your session is over, we will have a few minutes to talk about your experience and answer any questions you may have.

What Else Do I Need to Know?

Before an online Reiki+ session, find a comfortable space where you can lay down for the duration of your session. This could be on your bed, a couch, on the floor, etc. If it feels right, cover yourself with a blanket and put a pillow behind your head and under your knees.

If you enjoy soft music, we will play it during your in-person session. Feel free to play your own music during any virtual sessions.

Feel free to move as much as you need to! Your comfort is important and stillness is certainly not a requirement. You can roll to your side, on your stomach, etc.
